ASSAM TEA
Assam in the north-east of India is the only place in the world outside of China with a native tea plant. The tea is grown in the floodplains of the Brahmaputra Valley where the combination of low altitude, heavy rainfall, high humidity and extreme temperatures provide perfect conditions for the unique malt taste of Assam teas.
This early June second-flush harvest from one of the finest producers in the region has an abundance of golden tips. This tea is slightly heartier and creamier than some whole leaf assams, with prominent deep malty notes, cocoa, and subtle fruit.
Steeping:
2 teaspoonful per cup (3g tea per 8 ounces/ 240 ml) of water at 93-98°C(200-208°F) for 3 1/2 -4 minutes. You can brew this tea through 2-3 infusions-- add half-a-minute brew time to each subsequent infusion.

180°F / 82° C = bubbles form on the bottom of the pot
195°F / 90° C = the first bubbles begin to rise
212°F / 100° C = full rolling boil
Packing
We send our teas in a resealable kraft paper zip-lock stand-up pack with food-grade aluminum foil lining. We recommend storing your tea in this supplied bag away from direct sunlight or moisture. We do not recommend keeping the teas in fridge.

**Customs information**
Herbadiet will not be liable for packages refused or held by customs for delivery. Refunds will not be issued until the returned packages are physically in our warehouse. All items must be received in original/sealed condition.
