Seller (Rodney Schroeter) proofread all 1930s and 40s stories featuring the Park Avenue Hunt Club, for a project published by Canadian publisher, The Battered Silicon Dispatch Box. The Compleat Park Avenue Hunt Club was a large, 2-volume hardcover set (of which, I currently have no copies available).
I proposed a small book project, and the owner of Battered Silicon Dispatch Box agreed. 100 copies were printed of The Park Avenue Hunt Club: The Silver Creek Edition. I signed and numbered them.
Contents:
-- Two original Hunt Club stories by Judson Philips: Murder Castle, from 1936; Death Wears Green, from 1940.
-- An article describing the main protagonists of the series; the four Hunt Club members, and the police inspector who kept trying to catch them.
-- An article describing all super-crooks the Hunt Club faced.
-- A new story featuring most members of the Hunt Club. After proofreading all the Hunt Club stories, my mind was saturated with the characters. I wrote “The Hunt Club Goes Out to Pasture,” which takes place in the 1970s, when the Hunt Club members are a little older. Perhaps the greatest compliment I could have received on this story was an email from Robert Weinberg, who said I did a “good job” with the story.
