I purchased my home in 1978.  My next door neighbors were two spinster sisters that had lived in their house with their parents since 1922.  Their parents passed away in the 1950's.  When the second sister passed away in 2010, at the age of 97, I purchased the house and contents from her estate.  Living through the "Great Depression" the ladies never threw away anything.  The house is a time capsule with many things that have been stored there for 75 years or more. I have slowly been going through the house for the last fourteen years, and when I find an interesting item I put it up for sale.  This spoon is one such item.

This is a vintage/antique Fuller A1 silver plate tablespoon.  I took the time to do a quick hand polish of the spoon to highlight the beauty of the silver plate.  On the stem of the spoon it is marked "FULLER  A.1. PLATE".  In vintage silver plate flatware the A.1. designation is the best quality plating the company did.
