This remote is for a series of TV that has some different controls that are not available on the rest of the Toshiba TV models from this generation and are rarely supported in universal remotes. This $39.79 retail part number is discontinued with no factory sub and all our remaining spotless New Old Stock has sold out. When this part number was discontinued we bought out the remaining stock from the authorized distributors and it included some inventory that was in torn or missing packaging that is offered here. Consider that the types of cosmetic damage they show would be typical of what any new remote picks up soon after it has been removed from the bag and starts living on the coffee table.
