This is a lovely figurine from Japan (Ardalt Lenwile China).  The hand-painted colors are so pretty and and muted.  Very nicely done.  The figurine is resting on a little gold velvet pillow with green trim.  The figurine and the pillow together are about 6 inches tall (the figurine is attached to the pillow -- you can't remove the pillow).  The sweet little pillow is about 3 3/4 inches square.  

There are a couple condition issues with this item -- on closer inspection I found that Mary's halo has been broken off and re-glued sometime in the past.  There is some glue also on the Christ Child's back neck (looks like it just spilled there, as I couldn't find a break).  Also, the green trim has come unstitched -- should be an easy fix.
