Antique American Brilliant Cut Tazza Compote Comport Clark -- 9" wide
This is a Stunning American Brilliant Cut Tazza Compote /
Comport. This may have been produced by
Clark; however, it is not marked. It looks as if it might be their Savory Pattern. It would
have been made in the United States during the later part of the 1800s or early
1900s.
As with some of the American Brilliant pieces that were made
before 1915, this item does have a soft green glow under a 365-wavelength blacklight. (It does not glow under a 395-wavelength backlight
– it is not uranium glass.)
The Tazza Compote is in Excellent Condition. The Glass is very clear and sparkly.
It measures about 9” wide across the rim and 5.5” tall. It is a heavy piece weighing about 4.5
lbs.
