Throughout 1983 and 1984 I wrote and edited a poetry and music fanzine in Hull called ‘Kindred Spirit’. I produced four issues in total. Whilst having a loft turnout I came across a batch of fanzines which were unsold at the time. This is a chance to buy all four issues. For individual issues please see my other listings.

Highlights include

Issue 1 - Killing Joke gig review, poetry & artwork. This issue is particularly rare as it only had a small print run.

Issue 2 - Interviews with Sex Gang Children, Red Guitars & Les Zeiga Fleurs, review of LeLuLus, poetry & artwork

Issue 3 - Interviews with Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke & The Farmers Boys, reviews of The Police & Kid Creole

Issue 4 - Interviews with The Exploited, The Cult & Play Dead. Reviews of The Smiths & Chris & Cosey.

The fanzines are in their original form, in excellent condition although bear in mind this was the 1980s and fanzine writers were very much a part of the DIY culture. Some pages may appear slightly faded, but all are legible. It’s a real piece of history for anyone interested in the arts and music scene of the early 1980s.
