This is an antique Lithuanian spinning wheel's spool flyer. It is one of the main parts of spinning wheel which is an ancient machine that turned fibers into thread or yarn, which were then woven into cloth on a loom. Since there were many different variations of spinning wheels manufactured throughout the history, it is not always easy to find matching spool for your saxon style (horizontal) spinning wheel. Thus we offer you spool flyer with its fame so you can be sure that spool spins freely. Check the measurements of frame below and whether it would fit your spinning wheel.

NOTE: we will send item in two separate packages to save you on shipping cost. When separated, items fit to 'small package' category which is a lot cheaper than standard package.
