Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov (1645-1676).  KM-Unlisted; Efimki-1122 (this coin). Type I countermarks: horseman and monogram within circular incuse; 1655 within rectangular incuse. All upon the obverse of a 1630 Augsburg Confession centennial Taler of Johann Georg I from Saxony (Dav-7605; KM-411). An EXTREMELY RARE and interesting host for the applied countermarks, this specimen does exhibit some evidence of a mount removal, but this aspect is most easily overlooked given its important nature.
