MINERAL DESCRIPTION

Albite is a plagioclase feldspar mineral. It is the sodium endmember of the plagioclase solid solution series. It represents a plagioclase with less than 10% anorthite content. The pure albite endmember has the formula NaAlSi3O8. It is a tectosilicate. Its color is usually pure white, hence its name from Latin, albus.[5] It is a common constituent in felsic rocks. Albite crystallizes with triclinic pinacoidal forms.

Microcline commonly occurs in plutonic igneous rocks such as granites and syenites that cooled slowly and at considerable depth. It is the common potasium feldspar variety in pegmatites where it can form the largest known crystals of any mineral (in a pegmatite in Karelia, U.S.S.R., a microcline mass weighing over 2000 tons showed the form of a single crystal!).

Epidote is a structurally complex mineral having both single silicate tetrahedrons, SiO4, and double silicate tetrahedrons, Si2O7. Epidote, while not general known for exceptional crystals can produce some magnificent specimens. Its unique green color which is often described as "pistachio", is quite striking in well colored specimens. The name Epidote comes from the Greek words "epi" which means "over" and "didonai" which means "to give". The name is derived from the Greek word "epidosis" which means "addition."

HEALING PROPERTIES

Albite is purifying to the auras and effective in healing or used in therapy rooms to stabilize healing energy fields to absorb and process healing release during healing sessions. Albite is a crown chakra stone.

Microcline is a stress reliever, used for balancing, protection and releasing, as well as gaining clarity of mind and for stimulating dreaming. Feldspar is believed by metaphysical adherents to be a gemstone of creativity. Feldspar helps with finding unconventional and exciting ways to achieve goals by stimulating creative thinking. Feldspar increases your self-respect, self-esteem and self-awareness.

Epidote has the ability to clear clutter and confusion from your Heart Energy Center. It acts as a virtual vacuum cleaner, reaching into the hidden corners and crevasses of your emotional body to clean out the cobwebs and dust left behind from memories or experiences where you felt unloved, invisible or abused.
