Published in 1946 by Bonanza Books. Hard cover with dust jacket (DJ). See photos for condition.

DJ has heavy wear - surface scratching and scuffing; light parts toning with dark smudging; large rip on top edge creased down with crease lines; chunks ripped off, smaller rips and crease lines along edges and corners; DJ ink rubbing off on edges and fading in spots elsewhere; small hole in back of DJ near bottom; tape on interior of DJ near top of spine; some dark line marks.

Hard cover boards bottom corners - paper exterior ripped, exposing cardboard, and paper exterior creased near corners, with corners curling in. Paper exterior fraying and thinning on bottom edges due to shelfwear, along with some bumping to edges. Small ding on top edge of front board. Fabric fraying on top of spine.

Endpaper toned and lightly foxed - light foxing continues for adjacent pages. Fore edge of text block has some foxing marks, which bleeds onto the fore edge of some pages throughout the text (but none appear to affect the woodcut prints). Previous price in pencil on front endpaper. Otherwise, ages appear clean and clear of highlighting, writing, markings, underlining, or other notable damage or staining. Binding good.
