Single Petal biennial Holly Hock- pale pink
~ You get 1 tablespoon of seeds which is over 100 seeds.
~12- 24 inches
~ Biennial~ will produce foliage in the first year and comes back the 2nd year to flower and drop seeds.
~ Favorite of pollinators
~ hardiness in zones 3-8
~ plant through spring to midsummer
~ watering moderately to make sure the soil is moist. Only water from the bottom to ensure your hollyhock does not get diseases such as Rust and powdery mildew.
~ heavy feeder, be sure to fertilize ever 6-8 weeks with a slow release fertilizer.
~ may need trellis for support as it gets weighed down by blooms.
~ can start indoors and soak in warm water to help germinate or start them in grow pods but the best way is to plant them right in the ground.
~ seeds can be harvested when the pods are dry, but be sure to do this before they open. It is good to let them seed some more for the next generations to come.
~ These seeds come from Texas and I have been growing this plant for 2 years. Thanks for viewing.
