Original acrylic painting by Marion Yeo
Sunlit path through forest painting
The painting is on a 12x16" stretched canvas and painted round the sides so it can be hung without a frame, or framed as you wish.
While on a relaxing walk through a forest the sun suddenly came out, and shining through gaps in the trees cast light and shadows across the path. The sun-dappled foliage was beautiful with its different shades of green contrasted with touches of warmer tones here and there. It made me think of paintings by John Constable which I like because the cool colours seem balanced by hints of reds and browns. I enjoy painting this sort of natural landscape, reliving the peace and tranquility of the moment and capturing it's serene essence in paint.
