The store I picked this up at hand tape on the piece to keep the lid from falling off.
Yeah... Don't put tape on hand painted porcelain....
And if you buy a piece with tape on it, be very careful removing the tape...
When I got it home and removed the tape, it took some of the paint off in areas on the piece.
I have attached pictures showing the areas where the paint is removed.  Ref pictures...
