Handmade rare rainbow lattice sunstone necklace.

The stone measures 13 x 11 mm.

The chain is a 1.6 mm sterling silver cable chain with a lobster clasp.

We have matching earrings available in our store as well, they are shown in the last picture.

All of our silver jewelry is genuine sterling silver, which means the silver used is 92.5% fine silver, and a 7.5% amalgam of other metals.

Rainbow lattice sunstone comes from the Mud Tank Zircon Field in the Harts Range, Northern Territory, Australia. The field is located in a remote area of the Australian desert, made up of dry plains with rocky outcrops, northeast of Alice Springs. The Utnerrengatye mine is the only source of rainbow lattice sunstone.

Rainbow lattice sunstone was discovered in 1985 and recognized as a new gem material in 1989. The supply is limited, and the gemstone is scarce, especially in fine qualities.
