This is a vintage 2.5 quart covered casserole dish from the Franciscan brand. The dish is made of earthenware and features a Desert Rose pattern with a glossy finish. It is a mid-century modern style and was produced in California in the 1940s. The backstamp is printed and the production technique is pottery. This has 2 tiny chips off the top rose on the lid.
