We've combined our military-inspired MP-Sherman patterns with a standard stitchdown construction to offer a brand new take on a best-seller - the CMP-Sherman. This model is hand-lasted, hand-bottomed with all-leather components to ensure unmatched comfort and longevity. The 5050 Arch-Ease™ Last provides the same arch profile of our 55 Last with the toe width and volume of our MP Last.

White's boot lasts run large. This means most people should take a half size down from their natural shoe size, or Brannock measurement. On our highest arched lasts, a full size may be necessary, as the arch support shortens the overall length of the foot during wear.

Last:

The MP Last is a true dress shoe last with a long pedigree and a classic silhouette. Used exclusively in our lifestyle collection, the MP boasts a refined profile based on the legendary Barrie last, with a flatter arch, a shallow toe-box, and a wide ball-area, which provides an elegant balance to the traditional block dress heel. Despite the relatively low arch, we’ve still accommodated a thick, all leather shank to provide our trademark comfort. We guarantee you won’t find a more comfortable dress shoe on the market.

Construction:

The hand-sewn stitchdown construction type is the lynchpin of our history, a process passed down from bootmaker to bootmaker since the beginning, way back in 1853. When hand-sewing a boot, our master bootmakers painstakingly last, welt, and bottom it by hand. Hand-lasting ensures a customized fit, hand-welting a durable and water resistant seam, and hand bottoming an all-leather arch that becomes more comfortable by the day.
