1. .EN-48749 can hold the timing chain for cylinder head removal.
2.Just be careful that you don't catch the release rings during head removal. If you do, the tool will pop out and may lead to a timing chain headache.

NOTE:
1.When servicing the upper sprocket, camshaft, valve spring or valve seal, the relationship between the timing chain and the lower sprocket must be maintained.
2.If the lower sprocket chain is not secured, the front cover must be removed and the engine fully re-timed.
3.EN-48749 has two toothed legs that engage the chain to hold the chain against the guide rail and maintain tension as the tensioner and upper guide bolts are removed.
4.When EN-48749 is installed, all upper head components may be serviced. The head may also possibly be able to be replaced with EN-48749 in place

Marking chain and actuator is very important in operating procedures.Before marking the actuator and chain, the oil must be removed from the camshaft actuator and timing chain .

Tool Use Method:
Remove timing chain guide bolt
Remove timing chain guide plate
Remove timing chain tensioner
Rotary intake camshaft actuator to install FTST-0004 locking tool
FTST-0004 lock tool mounted to the cylinder cover and tighten to 10 N-m.
If the intake camshaft actuator independently of the camshaft and did not move the lock,
the counterclockwise rotation of the intake camshaft,
the locking tool fixing actuator, the actuator locking on the cam
Loosen intake camshaft actuator bolt
Loosen exhaust camshaft actuator bolt
Remove FTST-0004
