For sale is a vintage CORY 4-quart, thick gauge, 3-ply stainless Steel stockpot with lid & knobs in excellent condition.
The two (2) side handles
are intact w/ "Flavor Sealed" inscribed. (Believed to be durable
Bakelite material) The lid seals, "for water-less cooking" as
originally manufactured. There are no dents, no irregularities. The lid has the
original knob with the words, "Flavor
Sealed" inscribed. The bottom surface is flat.
There is nothing I could add to our small families' experience of the past 70 years, (cir. 1955) enjoying flavorful soups, stews, etc. prepared by mom. She purchased the S/S set from a door-to-door salesman who claimed "Flavor Sealed" was "water-less cooking". A claim mom learned to be true. The expression "They don't make things like they used too--is CORRECT!!
In these times, firms cannot afford to manufacture items of this practical design and quality.
Do yourself a favor and buy this pot (s). I have other sizes of different capacity listed on eBay. See "Sellers" other items".
