years ago.
- It is identified as the
June 1904
edition of the
Cameron quadrangle, compiled by the United States
Geological Survey,
Department of the Interior.
- The image area of the map measures 44.5 x 34.4 cm [17½" x
13½"],
and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 80°30' W to 80°45' W
and latitude
39°45' N to 40°00' N, which includes a small part of Belmont County,
Ohio, and
western sections of Greene and Washington Counties,
Pennsylvania .
- The map is drawn on a scale of 1:62,500, with contour
lines at 20-foot
intervals. It locates roads, towns, railroads, and
natural
features, as well as individual homes and farms.
- Among the named places and features on the map are Grave
Creek,
the Wheeling Line of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, Adeline,
Bellton,
McMechen, Sand HIll, Wolf Run, Waynesburg Turnpike, Limestone,
Knoxville,
Fork Ridge, Beelers Station, Loudenville, Rocklick, Moundsville,
Pleasant Valley, Woodruff, Meighen, Harts Run, and
Balls (since renamed Andersonville).
- Condition: The map is in very good
condition, bright and clean, with a
reference number neatly printed in the upper right corner and no
rips or
