Tolkien, and published by George Allen & Unwin, Ltd., London, in 1973. The trilogy includes The Fellowship of the Ring; The Two Towers; and The Return of the King. Each
book comes wrapped in its original retail dust jacket with £2.25 price intact.
Red cloth boards are remarkably well-preserved (please see pics). Endpapers are each intact with a bookplate on the Towers flyleaf, and bookplates applied opposite the title page of Fellowship and Return (please see pics). Rear maps are in good condition with a small edge tear where the map attaches to Towers. (fyi: Fellowship and Towers offered the same map.) Bindings are very tight and square; text and illustrations are very clean, bright and crisp. The dust jackets come wrapped in ph-neutral mylar sleeves, ready to slip into your collection. 423, 351, and 416 pages, respectively. The books measure approximately 9 x 6-inches.
