About blue steel

  1. Blue steel is a high-grade steel that is more tenacious and harder than ordinary steel, and can be used to make blades thinner. It is therefore used to make blades with good sharpness.
  2. On the other hand, there is another type of steel called ""Hakuhagane"" (white steel).
    This steel is used for machetes and de-edged knives for cutting thicker objects.
    Invisible chipping makes the blade jagged and bites into the blade.
    For cutting thicker or harder objects
    White steel, which is slightly less hard than blue steel, is used.
