With the Composers series, Peter Heilbut has created a booklet collection that is more than a random sequence of easy piano pieces. One booklet, each dedicated to a specific composer, has the task of bringing the life and work of the master closer to one another. The sheet music section therefore pays tribute to the historical importance of the composer, provides an instructive, fluently told biography and goes into detail about the works contained in the booklet.

 The selected pieces are basically original piano music. Only where it was unavoidable in terms of the task at hand was a suitable work included and worked on with a conscientious and careful hand. The result is charming pieces that are ideally suited for use in the classroom and also familiarize the player with the characteristic features of the tonal language of the respective composer in a friendly manner.
