A pair of antique glass beads Gablonz ornaments. These lovely unique bead style glass ornaments were once filled with wax. There is a slight residue of wax left inside. Each end has a decorative gold metal tip on each end with intricate designs. One neck has a little chip at the top where the metal topper sits which is typical of age and fragility of the glass. Please see photos for condition.

From the 16th century Christmas tree decorations have been created from various materials. The most spectacular and fragile decorations are assembled of glass beads and bugles – called Gablonz ornaments (or in German Gablonzer Glasperlen-Cristbaumschmuck). They were produced in the region of Jablonec nad Nisou (or in German Gablonz an der Neiße)
