Needle/Wet Felting Dyed & Natural Wool Roving/ Batt Slivers 6g

Our dyed roving range comes from the Corriedale breed. Corriedale sheep are a cross between Lincoln and Merino sheep giving the wool a natural thick feel yet retaining the soft nature of merino. It therefore lends itself perfectly for felting (both needle and wet), Spinning and other forms of craft.

Our natural roving range are not dyed and all come from naturally occurring breeds so there may be some variation in colour. The fibres are thicker than the corriedale and have higher natural oil retention. Please note that the natural black is from the Black Welsh breed and as no sheep are a true black there are hints of brown and grey. Similarly as no sheep are a true white our natural white is from the White Face Woodland breed and has cream tinges.

Our Slivers have crossed fibres as with batts but come in long thin strips which are perfect for wrapping. As the fibres are crossed they fast quicker than the rovings. Some are dyed whilst others are from naturally occurring colours.

Made in Devon with love by Crafty Jam and happy sheep!

We guarantee that we never source our wool from mulesed flocks (A practice that is still legal and widely used in Australia and China) as we believe this to be cruel and unethical. We like our woolly friends to be well cared for and happy
