This whole house water filter housing is designed to provide security and ease of use. Come with a wrench and built-in red pressure-relief button for easy filter replacement. Relief pressure and screw off and on, replace filter cartridges with the wrench.

PP Sediment Filter---100% melt-blown thin fiber, Multi-layered Pure Polypropylene. 

It's usually placed as the first stage of the water filtration system to remove rust, iron, sand, silt and particulates from water. As the first line of defense in the filtration system. Higher Dirt-Holding Capacity:
Three separate gradient density layers enhance cartridge performance. It can remove more contaminants, large and fine particles from well/city/municipal water, such as sand, dirt, silt, iron and rust particles. Does a better job and more capacity than the 10" filter.

Longer Service Lifetime:
For better water quality, recommended replace TWO or THREE times a year, depending on the quality of the original water source and application type. Recommended change out differential pressure is 30psi(2.1bar).

Protect Process Equipment:
Designed to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit. Be sure to install these before your water softener, well water filtration system, hot water heater, etc. Maximum operating temperature is 176˚F(80˚C)

For better water quality, filters should be replaced regularly.

Warm Notes:
*Cartridges may contain a very small amount of carbon fines (very fine black powder). After installation, follow the instructions for flushing the cartridge to remove the fines before using the water. You should flush the tap at least 20 seconds prior to using water for drinking or cooking purposes. This is particularly important if the tap has not been used daily.
*This filter needs to be replaced regularly. Otherwise, it will breed bacteria easily and cause secondary pollution of water.
*Do not use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
