This listing is for one HO scale large crane named Leviathan. Crane was built to work with Us1 trucking double parking on off switch track tracks (not included)And HO scale train layouts. Crane has two motors, operated by the switches on the control box. One moves crane boom up and down. The other moves the boom and cab left to right. Crane works off of a 1.5v power supply which is not included. In the pictures you can see I taped a AA battery (1.5v) to the two wire ends coming out of the control box to operate Leviathan for these photos. This battery and tape is not included. Crane and box wire is approximately 3 feet long. The hook and string cannot be moved up and down by itself so if you get it moving quickly and the hook and string are wobbling, the string can’t be moved up to stabilize it, then dropped back down. You will have to wait until Hook quits moving so much or get good enough to control it as it is moving. Boxes are simply picked up by raising and lowering the boom and moving the cab left or right. This toy is not a toy! When testing on US1 track, I came in too low and flipped the US1 dump truck. It will take time to get used to the crane controls in order to operate like a professional. The US1 trucking crane can be used to move a crate from one truck on one side and set it on the other or move crates from the center and put them on either trucks left or right on the double parking layout. Or can be used to move from US one trucking truck to an HO scale, train car or vice versa depending on whether you have train track or US1 trucking track or both. Included is 10 boxes/crates colors may vary with loops on top so crane can pick them up and move them with the hook. Five modeled after the original US1 trucking crates and five a little bit smaller. If you remove the tailgate of the dump truck, they will fit in the back and can be dumped in us1 trucking bins. Crane cannot operate full circle. Crane should only be moved to the back of the platform on either side and should not go past it. It has a stopper that will stop it from spinning all the way around, but pegging it over and over is going to eventually cause a problem with something. You also do not want to peg the boom all the way down and leave it on as that will heat the motor and could possibly cause damage. Awesome piece if you don’t like it, contact me, I accept returns for any reason! |
