You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white  photograph of HMS Corunna D97  the Battle Class ( Group II ) Destroyer  which served in the Royal Navy from 1947 to 1972.

The Corunna  began her long life on 12 April 1944 at the venerable Swan Hunter  shipyards at Wallsend.  She was launched 29 May 1945 and was commissioned into the Royal Navy on 06 June 1947

She served until paying off into reserve in 1972. She was placed on the disposal list in 1972 and sold for scrapping in 1975.

Photograph one is post 1962 conversion and shows an overall waterline port beam view.

Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge, general  characteristics, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
