How to Apply PTM7950:
- Cut to size - Use scissors/scalpel to trim the pad slightly larger than your CPU die (or whatever surface you are adhering to)
- Peel carefully - Remove one side of protective film, position the pad
- Apply even pressure - Use a credit card or spudger to smooth out any bubbles, even a fingernail can work
- Remove other film - Taking care to make sure the paste and film separate, then remove the other side of film and trim excess
- Install heatsink - The pad will phase-change and settle to perfect thickness and performance during first few heat cycles
If you need to clean off old paste, we recommend buying some isopropyl alcohol (95%+) which is relatively cheap and great for all sorts of electrical cleaning.
