For sale is a vintage white gold ring. This is a cocktail ring with a fancy, free form design. It looks a bit like a rose or flower to me. I
took this to a local (certified) jeweler and they state the following
"Center is set with one round brilliant cut diamond that weighs approximately 0.18 ct and is estimated to be SI1 clarity, G color. There are 4 round single cut diamonds in floral design that have an approximate total weight of 0.07ctw. Three are estimated to be SI1 clarity, G-H color and one of the single cuts is estimated I2 clarity, H color". I believe this means a total carat weight (CTW) of APPROX 0.25CTW. This ring is marked 14K twice (overstruck/partially once). The diamond been also
tested by a Presidium gemstone tester as well as having been examined by
the jeweler. The ring weighs 4.4 grams, the front is 12mm, and it is a size 6.5. The jewelers paperwork appraises this ring at a retail/insurance value of $1,496. I cannot
make any guarantees of whether the diamonds have been treated, though
the jeweler did not mention anything about it in the appraisal. The ring
has some minor scratching and nicks as it is likely from the 1950s. It
would be a great addition to any wardrobe!
NOTE: The appraisal paperwork is included in this listing.
