This clock has a good alarm with soft and loud settings. You can program it to start soft and then it gets louder and faster as time goes on (no pun intended). All you need to do is hold the "Alarm" button then set the time with minutes and hours when you want it to go off.

It is also battery powered which takes a 1.5 V AA battery (which is not included). So you can either plug it into your outlet or put a battery for it when you want to travel.

The front party of the clock (as shown in the images) has some scratches in the front but not too much so you can't tell the time.
