iDatalink's HRN-HRR-HK3 wiring adapter allows you to connect a new iDatalink-compatible car stereo in select 2016-up Hyundai and Kia vehicles, working in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro ADS-MRR2 module (sold separately). Once connected, you'll retain the use of your factory steering wheel audio controls, backup camera, and amplifier turn-on with any aftermarket receiver. The package includes connectors that plug in between the Maestro module, your factory radio's wiring plugs, and your new car stereo. You'll have to solder or splice together this harness's power/ground, illumination, speaker, and navigation output wires to the corresponding wires on your aftermarket receiver's wiring harness.
If you're buying a compatible iDatalink-ready car stereo, you'll enjoy the outstanding performance of your receiver while retaining additional factory features, including:
You'll also be able to view vehicle information and gauges on the new receiver's screen. The adapter also supplies 12-volt accessory power and an illumination output, and provides the outputs (parking brake, reverse, speed sense) you'll need to install a navigation or multimedia receiver.
This harness features an in-line head-unit connector harness, which will plug into iDatalink's new "Head-unit direct" harnesses for select radio brands. If you're installing a radio that doesn't work with a "Head-unit direct" harness, you simply cut off the plug and connect the wires to the harness included with your new radio.
Installation note: The HRN-HRR-HK3 adapter must be used with the iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR2 module to connect a new car stereo in select 2016-up Hyundai and Kia vehicles.
