Acrylic Platters and Mats are the first choice for many HiFi enthusiasts and for good reason. Because of its unique properties allowing it to disperse unwanted energy as heat before the stylus can pick it up, acrylic is the ideal material to support your favourite LP so you get the most out of your listening experience.

Platter mats made of other materials will add their own distinct sound to the playback where acrylic will produce a more natural sound with less colouration.
This is because the material properties of acrylic are similar to those of vinyl.

The Elusive Audio AcrySS mat has a distinct advantage over other acrylic platter mat’s. As well as being made from the highest quality Acrylic available the AcrySS mat has a Stainless Steel insert that adds weight to the centre as well as increasing stability as it fits perfectly round the spindle decreasing any chance of movement.

The insert is precision laser cut from rigid 1.2mm brushed Stainless Steel and then drilled so it fits perfectly round the spindle of the record player.

The spindle hole is precision drilled at 7.2mm as standard, if your spindle is larger than 7.2mm please contact us and we can drill it to suit your turntable.
