Our Bass Guitar String Mute is a musical device designed to dampen, or increase the decay of a note while keeping the underlying tone.  Some folks liken the sound of our Bass Guitar String Mute to that of an upright bass.

Easily put on and taken off in seconds without changing string tuning.

This package contains two (2) Bass Guitar String Mutes, each made from a different type of premium quality foam rubber that is bonded to a precision backing plate.  The mute with harder foam will dampen sound more, and the mute with softer foam will dampen sound less.

To measure your instrument for a perfect fit, measure the spacing between the 2 highest strings just in front of the bridge... where the Bass Mute is designed to fit.

Choose the string spacing at the bridge: 14mm, 16mm, 17mm, 17.5mm, 18mm or 19mm
