Chiu Tak Hak made pieces like this showing places in Paris which he enjoyed.  Vin de Bourgogne is a wine shop which sells wine from the Bourgogne wine region in France.   Bourgogne is the only wine region which is translated into different languages: “Burgundy” in English , “Burgund” in German, “Borgogna” in Italian, to name but a few. However, the word "Bourgogne" is on every label, as a "Vin de Bourgogne" mention.

Chiu Tak Hak is a self-taught artist from China who moved to Paris in 1972 and was attracted to the city’s historic shops and cafes. His style combines realism and elements of impressionism and abstractionism. He builds around a realistic central image, and then adds collage and other elements to add depth making this work have a 3-D effect.
