Originally developed for LS3 applications, BTR has found the Red Hot camshaft to also produce great results in 5.7L and 6.0L cathedral port engines. We have put this camshaft in a wide variety of engine combos, and it was spicy enough to make excellent power in both boosted and N/A applications. Using BTR lobes designed in house, this cam had just the right amount of kick that combined both great stability and durability during Spintron testing. A 2800+rpm stall converter is recommended for automatic transmission applications.  

This kit includes: BTR Red Hot Camshaft, BTR Platinum .660" Dual Spring kit with Steel Retainers, Valve Seals, 7.400" long 5/16" Chromoly Pushrods, timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, front crankshaft damper seal, and crankshaft damper bolt. 

Please note:
  • DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a DOD/AFM delete
  • VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit.
  • If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3 bolt conversion kit will be required
