The backing measures 36x34.5cm and the visible image is 19.8x18.2cm. Taken by Gerson in 1957. 


The National Portrait Gallery owns a copy. 


Gerson made his reputation as a portrait photographer of literary figures, and his images count among some of the most compelling of the genre.
