Get your dowel screws from a hardware store - standard sizes are 5/16" x 2 1/2" (should need drill bit F or 17/64" drill bit size) or 1/4" x 3 1/2" dowel screw.
Has 1 3/4" deep hole drilled in center of legs from the lathe machine that made the leg. Just drill deeper for which size you buy for the dowel-screw.
