The PureFlow AirDog II-5G 165 GPH A7SABC509 Air/Fuel Separation lift pump, or Fuel Preporator, is the top recommended upgrade for your 2001-2010 Chevy/GMC Duramax diesel. The fuel system on the LB7 LLY LBZ and LMM Duramax diesel is one of the most important systems when it comes to performance and reliability. This low pressure (preset at 8-10 psi) Duramax lift pump mounts to the inner frame rail using the supplied sandwich plate mounting system. This makes it almost hidden, and keeps it out of the way of rocks and debris. The pressure side of the pump connects to the injection pump feed line on the frame. The suction/fuel supply sides connect directly to your factory quick disconnect fittings and the air/vapor return is sent back to the tank through a filler neck tee making the install very straight forward.
Choosing to purchase and install an AirDog II-5G lift pump will strengthen, protect, and in most cases extend the life of the fuel system and related parts. The supplied fuel filter (FF100-2) will filter your fuel down to a 2 micron rating, and the water separator (WS100) will remove excess moisture from the fuel system. This type of filtration surpasses the stock fuel filter by a mile. The AirDog II-5G also helps by eliminating spray pattern disruption from air entering the diesel fuel system. The result is overall increased engine efficiency by keeping the injection timing where it should be thus allowing a more complete burn of the fuel entering the cylinder.
The AirDog II-5G DF-165 for the 01-10 Duramax is engineered with the most proven, quiet and reliable motor technology on the market. It also retains the ?demand flow? capabilties of the previous AirDog II systems. This means that is has a constant supply of clean, pure fuel available for your injector pump at all times. Any fuel not used by the engine is simply recycled back to the tank, so it will never ?over-fuel? your system. The II-5G A7SABC509 uses the same better-than-OEM fuel filter (FF100-2) and water separator (WS100) as the previous AirDog II models. The Rudy's Duramax Fuel Filter Bypass for your 2001-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax is for use after the installation of an AirDog or FASS Fuel Air Separation System. Once installed the factory fuel filter is no longer needed and can be easily removed by using this factory fuel filter canister bypass. Because your Duramax fuel filter is located after the AirDog or FASS filtration system you will still need to replace the factory filter every 5,000-8,000 miles. This filter bypass kit will replace your now useless fuel filter with a spin on canister that will allow fuel to flow freely into the engine, saving you even more money. This spin on fuel filter bypass kit is a perfect addition to your AirDog or FASS Titanium diesel fuel pump and comes with all required hardware for a professional installation.
