Random Red Moor Root

You are receiving ONE piece of slim branched wood selected at random from our stock

Each piece measures min 20cm at longest point

We cannot guarantee exactly the shape or size of the piece you will receive, as these are picked from a random selection, however we will guarantee genuine red moor root.  Min 20 cm in size at longest point - when measuring this is the total length of the wood, and will not be directly point to point

Our wood is pre-soaked by our suppliers, and is safe for adding straight to the aquarium.

For peace of mind you may wish to soak the wood in several water changes.  On occasions the wood may float, soaking the wood absorbs water and aids the wood to remain at the bottom of the tank.

Tannin stained water is ideal for blackwater species such as tetras, some killifish and many south african and far east asian fish

Why not combine with plants or other wood for a complete aquarium setup and save on P&P?

Photo shows a random selection of our medium pieces of red moor root.  We cannot guarantee shape and size of the wood you will receive, we will ensure it measures 20cm or more at the largest point.  The tape measure is intended as a guide only, and shows approx measurements.

We know that many people want to create a natural aquascape in their aquarium.  We continue to add new and exciting products to help achieve this.

Red moor root is perfect for creating such an environment and its branched spindly 'fingers' lend the pieces to being used creatively with plants of mixed height and density.  The thin branches can easily be trimmed to size if required, or leave them to protrude from the top of the tank to create a more inventive design.  It's 'fingers' can also be 'tangled' with some of the larger pieces of wood for a stunning effect, which fish like to swim between.  This wood is suitable for use in aquariums and vivariums.

This wood may leach tannins when first added to the aquarium, so we would always recommend soaking for a minimum of 48 hours in at least 3 water changes.  Some pieces may require slightly longer than this.  The wood may float initially when added to the tank, but once it has time to absorb water it will sink and remain in place.

Comes to you securely packed to ensure the piece arrives safely.
