Rare, 1940’s Mid Century Japanese Roll Top Mechanical Cigarette Box with hand painted pretty marquetry work.  Very nice condition. When I pull the handle back I had to push down on the lever inside the box. I’m not sure if maybe it has to be flipped the other direction but I don’t want to mess with it on the chance I’m doing it wrong. It seems to all be in very good working condition. No breaks in the wood or missing pieces. Dog’s head on the front.
