The dagger is first and foremost for personal defense or a close quarters combat weapon. The double edged blade with strong central spine taper to a deadly point and the spiked pommel is capable of devastating blows. During Renaissance times the dagger was essentially a part of everyday dress for nobles and commoners alike.

COMMENTS: Originally listed as a Renaissance dagger bc I got my start selling at Renaissance Fairs. A customer purchased one for use in rituals though and said she needed something sharp, plus just preferred a sharp knife in general.
