The Standard Arrma Slipper Housings are made from a soft aluminum, and are very prone to breaking at the shaft and losing teeth on the spline

These are CNC Machined in Germany and Hard Anodised for a high end finish. 

This hardware is made from 7075 aluminum. In the RC world, they make chassis out of this material to give it the best chance of not bending or breaking. It's what the exb chassis is made from and all the high dollar CNC chassis upgrades available for the 6s and 8s platform.

A member of the 7000 series, 7075 is one of the strongest alloys available and is comparable to many types of steel.
