Color lithographed fold-out map of Istanbul, drawn by Kerim Çalapverdi and published by the Department of Public Relations, Ministry of Tourism and Information in 1968.

  • The map opens to 68 x 48 cm [26¾" x 19"] and has illustrations of local landmarks and architectural features.

  • There is no bridge across the Bosphorus and only two spanning the Golden Horn:
    • Atatürk Bridge, connecting Kasimpasa and Unkapani
    • Galata Bridge, connecting Karaköy and Eminönü

  • On the reverse side there are photographs of various points of interest and descriptive text on the city's history, cultural attractions, restaturants, hotels, and bus routes.

  • Condition:  The map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with a tiny chip in the lower corner, minor fold wear, and no marks or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.

  • Note:  We may also have an antique fold-out panoramic view of the Bosphorus from the Kandilli area, on the Asian side, available in our eBay store. It is listed as item # 275471602505. If you'd like to take a look, simply click here.
