It has black cloth boards with gilt titling to spine and plain end-papers. There are slight signs of bumping to the front top edge but overall, the book is in a very good, unstained and unblemished condition, tightly bound with minimal shelf wear.
The unclipped pictorial dust jacket does have some very small nicks to the top edges and the residue of a previous sticker to the front cover.
The interior of book (240 pages) is in super condition, bright and clear with no inscriptions, highlighting or creasing.

The 'Adamses' (Robert, John, and Henry) whose revolver designs in particular and whose firearms enterprises in general, are explained in this book. Their years of greatest influence upon the craft lay between 1850 and 1880, but the years before that influenced them and their work persisted long after. Their methods of manufacturing were considered amongst the best of the English arms trade.
From the Wikipedia website: Robert Adams (1809-1880) was a 19th-century British gunsmith who patented the first successful double-action revolver in 1851. His revolvers were used during the Crimean War, the Indian Mutiny, the U.S. Civil War, and the Anglo-Zulu War.

1867, Robert Adams' brother, John Adams patented a breech-loading revolver which
was adopted by the British government in place of the Beaumont-Adams. It was a
solid frame pistol with six chambers, in .450 caliber. After official
