Vintage B&L Ray Ban Timberline - SINGLE LEFT TEMPLE - Replacement Arm - Black with Red Accent/Center Layer (and Dark Navy Blue Innermost Layer)
Listing is for ONE single left temple. It is the temple on the wearer’s lefthand side. You will receive the EXACT item shown in my photos. I use photo layouts to show multiple angles, but please be aware this is NOT a pair. You will receive 1 left temple only. See photos and ask questions.
Main color is black. Center and bottom portion are red. Inside layer is navy.
True vintage B&L Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb USA sport sunglasses replacement temple part circa 1970’s. Made in USA. Unisex. New and never worn, but have imperfections from 50+ years of storage as noted in description below and shown in photos.
Retro cool acetate/nylon left single temple features 3 bold layers. A jet black ebony outermost layer, red center accent layer and navy blue innermost layer.
The inside of the temple is impressed with POWDERHORN. Features a raised Ray-Ban logo emblem in silver tone metal.
Minimal curvature. No shrinkage or odor observed. No flaws of note. There may be hairline scratches to the acetate from storage. Finish is still very glossy.
There is little to no tarnishing / patina of the metal parts. Metal and acetate components have been lightly cleaned and polished by hand.
The temple can be heated up and adjusted by an optician for the perfect fit. I always recommend seeing a pro for a custom fitting - we’re all different and it can make a huge difference in the fit, comfort, and appearance.
No screws included, although they are available for purchase. Please inquire prior to buying or bidding.
Approximate measurements:
Temple Length: 135mm
Temple Width: 7mm (nearest the hinge)
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
Fit:
I recommend a custom fitting with an optician, optometrist, or other equivalent. Many shops offer this service for free. Do not attempt to make adjustments on your own! If done improperly you can cause irreparable damage. I don’t take returns and especially cannot be of assistance if any adjustments (professional or otherwise) have been made or attempted!
Cleaning & Care:
I recommend using a hard or semi-hard case for sunglass storage and optimal protection. Rinse glasses with cool water if they become dusty and allow them to dry before cleaning with a soft microfiber cloth and lens cleaner. Many metal parts may be polished with a precious metals polishing cloth. Hinges may be lubricated with WD-40 if needed.
Never clean lenses with a dry cloth alone. Do not submerge acetate in water for prolonged periods. Do not leave sunglasses in direct sunlight and/or extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.
Condition:
These are vintage sunglasses and vintage sunglass parts. My family has been the only owner. They are not perfect even if listed as New or New Old Stock (NOS). Do not expect perfection or you will be disappointed. Most are 50+ years old and are in excellent vintage condition. Unless otherwise noted, they have never been worn. I do my best to describe and/or photograph any flaws of note.
Condition is subjective and based on my personal expertise, but is still an opinion nonetheless. My assessment takes into consideration the condition of a given pair/part relative to others of the same or similar model, from the same time period, from the same brand, etc.
Questions, Shipping, Return Policy:
