5/5 stars - This book is wonderfully written in short 5-7 page summaries of each of ...
I had been told this was not written well - but I bought it anyway. A friend had referred to it numerous times when giving a presentation, and he peeked my interest. This book is wonderfully written in short 5-7 page summaries of each of these "eminent men." I have truly enjoyed it. Many of these men I had never heard of. Each of them has written, composed, been involved in . . . . . . things that I want to learn more about. I am working my way through this book a second time, stopping after each man's summary and pursuing his book or writings or poetry or stance on politics, or . . . so I can read about these people who have changed the course of humankind.

4/5 stars - Great information
The author did a fireside and explained so much about the situation surrounding this event. I was so impressed by the fact that only men and women who had made a significant contribution to peace and freedom were allowed to ask Pres. Woodruff. She even discussed some of the men who do not ask and the research she did on their lives. The fireside was amazing! She also talked about some of the women including Marie Antoinette - she did extensive research to discover how Marie incredibly changed the ideas of motherhood in France. After that, I had to get the book. I was hoping this book would discuss these incredible women, but unfortunately it doesn't. Hopefully she'll write another book on it. Anyhow, this piece of work is a great historical and spiritual book.

5/5 stars - Great Histories - Short, Easy to Read Histories
This book is full of biographies of some of the men that appeared to Wilford Woodruff in vision. Their histories are short, easy to read, but I learned about some great men that I didn't know. History buffs will love this book. And those with mild history enjoyment will also love the quick reads. Highly recommend!

5/5 stars - The trailblazers
Christopher Columbus, Napoleon the 3rd, Michael Faraday, Lord Byron, and a number of other historical figures appeared in the baptistry of the St George Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Wilford Woodruff and those with him. Focus of the event usually goes to the Founding Father's and the Presidents who served and had passed away to that point, but others arrived and now their stories are known. The book also includes a list of eminent women who are on the records of the baptistry, including Jane Austen and Marie Antoinette.

5/5 stars Earthly Covenants Done For The Dead
Fascinating that the prominent figure heads of the newly formed America wanted to make covenants that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has to offer for people that have died.
