Large sepia photograph of Diana Kane, silent film actress. The photo is on a heavy paper backing that does show some foxing and separation at the edges between the backing and the photo. The paper backing also shows multiple line depressions from pinning nails when it was previously framed. The photo itself is in very good condition with very little sign of age. The edges appear to have been hand cut. Diana is wearing her hair in pin curl set which was very popular in the 1920s, soft eye makeup and deep lip color. She is wearing a pale color v-neck blouse and a single strand of pearls. The signature begins at the edge of the pearls and is four lines of cursive: For Mr. Johnson "Thanks for the Shampoo" Diana Kane. The tail of the second line "e" and the fourth line "e" are almost to the edge of the photograph.
