Headband base is silver in color and approximately 15 inches in length and 5mm (3/16") wide. Ends are bent and covered in silver ribbon for wearer comfort. 

These silver lined green glass beads from Matsuno are of excellent quality and uniformity. They have been sewn using Miyuki beading thread in two methods to improve the durability and wear of the headband. The beading covers approximately 14 inches of the headband.

Metal FAQs:

Gold and Gold-filled: Gold is identified by what percentage of the metal weight is pure gold

10kt = 41.7% 14kt = 58.5% 18kt =75% 24kt = 100%

Gold-filled indicates that a layer of one of the karats of gold has been wrapped around a core of another metal. The karat gold is required by law to make up at minimum 5% of the total metal weight. In comparison, gold plated jewelry may be 1% karat gold or less. Gold-filled jewelry made by Evie's Adornments uses only 14k GF materials.

Sterling Silver: Sterling silver is comprised on 92.5% silver. The silver used by Evie's Jewelry is uncoated and may tarnish. Please see below for cleaning instructions.

Copper: Copper is the metal that is added to gold to create Rose Gold. Over time, under certain conditions, uncoated copper jewelry will tarnish and attain a green patina (i.e., The Statue of Liberty). While copper jewelry designed by Evie's Adornments is generally intended in it's raw state (i.e., shiny, new penny), as the end user, you are free to wear the piece at any stage. Be aware that wearing copper may turn parts of your skin that perspire green. This can be removed with washing. No refunds will be issued for this, or any allergy occurrence. See below for cleaning recommendations.

Cleaning your Jewelry:

Karat Gold and Gold-filled: Clean using either a jewelry polishing cloth or commercial cleaning solution formulated for gold. Do not use cleaning solutions on porous/delicate gemstones. Store jewelry in a cool, dry place.

Sterling Silver: Clean using either a jewelry polishing cloth or appropriate commercial cleaning solution. Do not use cleaning solutions on porous/delicate gemstones. For tarnished pieces, use an appropriate tarnish remover (i.e., Tarn-X). Store jewelry in a cool, dry place.

Copper: Clean using either a jewelry polishing cloth or appropriate commercial cleaning solution. For tarnished pieces, use an appropriate tarnish remover (i.e., Tarn-X). I have found that an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and brass cleaning solution, diluted per directions, has been effective for mild copper oxidation. Use this method with caution. Do not use cleaning solutions on porous/delicate gemstones. Store jewelry in a cool, dry place.
