Love-in-a-Mist (Nigella Damascena Jewels Red) - Grow this unusual but very attractive little gem from Nigella seeds. This annual has lovely blooms which reach up to 2 1/2 inches (6 cm) across. Once the blooms are done, equally attractive seed pods form once the blooms dry. The red Love-In-A-Mist plant has lacy, fern-like foliage that gives the plant an airy feel. The flowers are great for cutting, and they also preserve well, and the seed pods are very attractive in arrangements once they are dried. To dry the Nigella flowers, cut the stem and hang upside down in cool location.
